Our approach for building a closet beyond our dresses

For women who are ready to invest in a timeless wardrobe with better, fewer items, who are stylish but not trendy, who want to feel confident but not flashy, and who realize at the end of the day they are just clothes.

After years of research–more art than science–and trial and error, we are excited to share with you curated and objective suggestions (read: anti-blog, anti-influencer) on how, where and what to buy. This is not perfect, nor complete, but we hope it helps to get you closer to your destination.

  • Less is more

Less is more. But really, the more you buy the less valuable all your other things become

  • Wait 24 hours

We hate buying things we don't want to reach for all the time. So, when we are tempted to splurge, we wait to see if the feeling remains or is fleeting

  • Buy used

Save money and minimize your impact by buying used clothing. If you know the exact style and size of the product you want, check either The RealReal or Poshmark

  • Go high and low

Invest in coats, shoes, and bags. This makes it super easy to create a pulled together look without having to splurge on everything
